On Saturday July 28th, HOS secondary students joined almost 100 walkers to participate in the Family Life Pregnancy Center annual Walk for Life. This was the first service project of the new school year for our secondary students whose goal this year is to work together as the body of Christ to better serve our community. The Center is reporting nearly $11,000 in pledges for this event. Way to Go!
The secondary students next service project will be on September 26th at Grace Resource Center. Please contact Zach Crosby for additional information.

A special collection sheet is coming home today with your child. Have some fun searching the pantry for those items that display the Box Top for Education label! Every box top is worth 10 cents for our school, so lets get clipping! Please return the collection sheet to the office or your child’s teacher.

If you are a current secondary student at HOS or an alumni of HOS, please take a few moments to take our Student Survey.
We are in the process of completing our Self Study for our continued WASC Accreditation and student/alumni input is very important for our research. Please have each 7th – 12th grade student (if you have more than 1 student) complete the survey as soon as possible. If your student is away at college or no longer in the home, could you help us by forwarding this survey to your child.
This survey is for the students only, please allow your student to complete the survey independently. If possible, we would appreciate getting the surveys completed by August 31.

Join us in The Chapel after the students head off to class for prayer and coffee fellowship. Meet some new parents and say hello to some old friends. Coffee and muffins will be provided. Your little ones not in school are welcome to join us.

The Chapel was standing room only during our Parent Orientation Night. Close to 50 families attended the event. Parents had the opportunity to meet teachers and families. It is going to be a great school year with new programs planned! See you on the 30th!
