Daniel 10:19
“Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed,” he said. “Peace! Be strong now; be strong.” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength.”

Forgotten Lunches/Lunch Payment Form
- There has been an increased incidence of forgotten lunches. When this happens, an attempt to reach the parent will be made to bring the student’s lunch.
- When the school has to provide a lunch for a student because the parent(s) can’t be reached or are unable to bring their student’s lunch, the parent will receive a yellow “School-Provided Lunch Payment Form”.
- The signed form with payment is due the next school day. Please see the attachment for an example of the form.
- Teachers and peers are not to supply food items to other students.
Parent Job Commitment
- Parent jobs are one of the most important aspects of HOS. Not only are they critical to the smooth running of our school, they provide a unique opportunity for you, the parent, to serve as a Godly mentor to all the students.
- It is very important that each parent fulfills their weekly commitment of 3 hours/ week. When a parent is absent and does not find a substitute, it places a tremendous burden on the school staff to find a replacement.
- As stated in the Information Handbook, the school will hire a substitute from a parent job substitute list if needed. The substitute will be paid at the rate of $10.00 per hour. The money to cover the substitute’s pay will be added to the absent parent’s monthly bill.
Yearbook Bible Character Form
- A goldenrod paper was sent home today asking each student to describe his/her favorite Bible Character.
- For your student’s entry to be included in the yearbook, the form MUST be returned to the school office no later than Friday, January 13th.
Congregating in the Parking Lot
- When dropping off or picking up your student(s), please do not congregate near the carpool line. Please make sure to park in a designated parking space as to not obstruct cars from entering or leaving the parking lot. Thank you!
