The desire to mentor children in the Christian worldview is my greatest motivation to teach at Heritage Oak School. We pursued a classical Christian education at HOS for our own children. I love the logical approach to use the stages of learning to bring the child along in a way that is conducive to their age and abilities. This style of learning has been lost in our culture today along with an understanding of our Christian heritage.

My passion for discipling students comes from Jesus's own words to "Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come to me". To bring children into a deeper relationship with Jesus and experience the joy of being in the family of God is also my greatest joy.

My own schooling in the sciences was evolution based and taught as fact. It was never presented as just a theory full of holes. It is a pleasure to be able to present the sciences as well as other subjects from the basis of God as Creator and Sustainer of the universe. To show how God's order and plan is woven through history, math, literature, and the Scriptures is cause for an exciting time each and every day. It is the "best education I ever received" is what we say around our house!
