Kim Garrett.jpgMy children started attending Heritage Oak in 2015 when we moved from Bakersfield to
Tehachapi. Before then they attended public school. Once setting foot on Heritage’s campus I
knew that this is where my family belonged. God has always been the center of my life, but
now through classical Christian Education, His word was being taught through every aspect of
my children’s schooling.

Because of what Heritage Oak has done for my family and me, I have wanted to give back and teaching has allowed me to spend more time where I love and I get to share God’s love through Physical Education. In 2012 I trained and ran the Disney Half Marathon and through that training and journey I discovered the joy of exercise. God wants us to live a physically and spiritually healthy life. Teaching physical education gives me the outlet to share God’s desires for us to treat our bodies as a temple for Him.

I feel truly blessed to be teaching at Heritage Oak where I am able to talk about my faith and to work with students as they grow in God’s everlasting love.
