Students in grades 10‐12 make up our Rhetoric School student body. These final years of school are dedicated to continuing the Heritage Oak classical school tradition of academic excellence and personal spiritual growth as mentor teachers challenge students to apply logic to current event situations, wrestle with ethical dilemmas in society, and solidify their understanding and application of God’s Word in all areas of life.
The additional emphasis of preparing each individual student for God’s vocational calling on their life is addressed through exploring college, military service, missions, technical field, or other endeavors unique to the student. Through one‐on‐one counseling, our College & Career course as well as our unique LIfe Application class, students are better equipped for life beyond graduation.
Highlights of the Rhetoric School years include opportunities to serve on the Student Council, become a House Captain or hold a House office, participate in Protocol classes and events, missions trips, community service, debate, drama, sports, and orchestra. In addition, all seniors present their final capstone thesis before a panel of 3 judges who have an opportunity to challenge the thesis and give the student an opportunity to defend his position. This culminating event held in late Spring, presents the best of our students to the school and public audience.
Don’t miss out on this unique educational opportunity! We invite you and your student to attend our Senior Capstone Thesis event or schedule a visit to view our classes and see how Heritage Oak may be exactly the school your child has been looking for!
