CLT Announces NAS Distinguished Scholars
Congratulations to Heritage oak student, Austin Garrett
On April 11, 2018, several thousand students across the country took the Classic Learning Test (CLT), a new standardized college entrance exam that many colleges and universities are opting to accept in lieu of the SAT or ACT. Heritage Oak School became a test site this spring and administered the CLT for the first time under the supervision of College & Career Counselor, Christi Barnes. We are pleased to share that our own Austin Garrett (10th grade) did exceptionally well and was recognized by the National Association of Scholars for his outstanding score.
Austin has been attending Heritage Oak since 8th grade, having moved here from Bakersfield, California. He is a member of the National Honor Society and participates in Cross-Country and Mountain Biking. He's still considering his college options, but he wants to honor the Lord in whatever he chooses. Well done, Austin! We are proud of you and all our students at Heritage Oak!
