United in Educating Children
Education will always be most successful when parents and teachers are all on the same page. At Heritage Oak School, we desire to partner with parents in order to consistently reinforce the same principles of character development in the classroom as well as at home. We have found that having parents, faculty, and staff members complete the same parenting course helps bring us together as a united community in educating students.
REquired course for admission
Because we take our partnership with the school wide community seriously, we ask that all families complete the parenting course at the earliest possible date - preferrably before application is made to the school. We understand that there are circumstances that prevent families from doing so, such as a new move into the Tehachapi area. Therefore, we will accept families on a conditional basis, providing they complete the course during the school term.
Heritage Oak School offers two Parenting Courses annually at no charge other than the cost of materials ($30). Classes meet on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm. It is recommended that enrollment be completed 2 weeks prior to the first day of class in order to guarantee participants have the necessary course materials ($30/couple) and arrange for childcare which is provided on site. Our next courses will begin: September 6, 2017.
