Mrs. Karen Barnett, First Grade
About Mrs. Barnett:
Hello, my name is Karen Barnett and this is my first year teaching first grade at Heritage Oak. I attended Azusa Pacific University and received my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Ethnic Studies in 2009. I am currently in the process of getting my Masters in Teaching from USC. I have always loved learning and now I get to pass on that love to my wonderful students.
I am new to the Tehachapi area, as I just got married and moved here with my husband Brian in June.
My favorite Bible passage is Romans 4:18 as it has taught me to always hope and wait in the Lord. I am excited to share that hope with my students in everything we learn, from Shurley to Penmanship, to Math.
