About Mrs. White:
This is Mrs. White’s third year at Heritage Oak School and her sixth year of teaching.. She went to school at Simpson University and got her teaching credential in Social Science at Cal State Bakersfield. She lives in Bakersfield and enjoys commuting to Tehachapi every day with her husband, Mr. White who teaches the 5th grade. (They were married in December 0f 2011)
Mrs. White says: “I teach because God has given me the desire to help children know and love Him more. Everything I teach my class, from math to Shurley to Bible, is to help them learn and grow into people who will serve the Lord with all their heart, mind and strength.
We are learning a lot of subjects in third grade! I will be teaching memory work, math, spelling, Shurley language, reading, history, Bible, penmanship, writing and geography. I will also teach science for part of the year and health for the rest.
I am always excited to see how my students learn and grow over the course of the school year. I love seeing my students reach their full academic potential but it is their spiritual development that I am the most excited about.
