Christy Beiswenger

5th Grade

Miss Beiswenger wanted to teach at Heritage Oak primarily because of what we teach and so she could be supported by the community of believers in both the faculty and the families that attend. “Growing up around Heritage Oak School, I knew this school placed a high value on Scripture and that is something especially important to me.”

Throughout her time at college she attended both public and private institutions and felt the difference between what is taught from the world’s perspective and what was taught from a Christian perspective was quite significant. “Though I did have some good educational experiences at both places, there is a difference in learning for knowledge sake and learning for a greater purpose— to know, and love, and obey our heavenly Father more. Having both of these experiences I knew that I wanted to teach in a place where I would have an opportunity to teach from a biblical perspective.

After coming in to observe a class and seeing how even in math teachers were pointing students to the Creator, Miss Beiswenger knew that this was where she wanted to teach. “Heritage Oak School is a place where Christ is central in both academics and in the community. We have been called to glorify God in all that we do, so what a wonderful opportunity to glorify Him in our learning!”

Miss Beiswenger has earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from The Master’s University.
