Mrs. Douglas is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University and an alumna of Heritage Oak School. After being mentored by other teachers and developing a Biblical worldview through the classical education program at HOS, her and her husband, Zach, moved back after graduating from school. She has coordinated the annual Read-A-Thon, served as a WASC Accreditation Visit Team Member on behalf of HOS and led the Student Council last year.
Mrs. Douglas believes in equipping the next generation with Biblical truths by training them in a leadership-based classroom setting. Her own academic roots were grounded in a Classical education and she understands just how much our world needs lights for Jesus in the years to come.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 inspires me to not only teach students, but mentor them as well. The calling of a disciple is to keep running the race of faith that has been set before you. There will be no greater joy than when we face God after we have finished the good fight!
…there is almost nothing more important we can do for our young than convince them that production is more satisfying than consumption.” ― Ben Sasse
