Mrs. McMillin graduated from Cal State University, Bakersfield with a BS in Early Child Development. She also passed the CBEST, the California Educator Credentialing Assessment Skills Test. She has been a part of the school since 1998. Over the years, she has been a parent of two students who attended Heritage Oak, teacher of various grades, served as Academic Coach, served on the School Board and now, most recently, is coming on full time as Grammar Principal.
Mrs. McMillin loves that Heritage Oak School is both a Christian and Classical Private School. “To teach the next generation all subjects filtered through a Biblical Worldview is a high calling and privilege.” As Grammar Principal She encourages our grammar teachers to use song, rhyme, and many manipulatives to teach the K4 to 6th grade students.
Mrs. McMillin is grateful for the Word of God and how the students memorize so much of it! Paul tells Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
