Lorena Semernko

Interim Principal K-12

“I love Jesus with all of my heart, mind and soul. He is the foundation of my life and is centered in everything I do!”

Mrs. Semerenko has been an educator for 16 years and has worked for several years in the public school system, with the Sulphur Springs, Palmdale, Westside and Mojave school districts. She has taught in the private school system for several years with AV Christian, Bethel Christian and now Heritage Oak. Recently, she left her teaching position at a local middle school, where she was teaching the gifted and talented 6th graders.  “I’m so very excited to have transitioned here to Heritage Oak.”

In the past, Mrs. Semerenko has served as the instructional academic coach for the secondary school. She has a B.A. in Liberal Studies from CSUN, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSUN, an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction, an M.S. in Educational Administration and an Administrative Credential . She is also a certified support provider for new and struggling teachers in the Kern County districts.

Mrs. Semerenko has been married for 18 years to her husband who is an active volunteer at our school. They have two children attending Heritage Oak; Zachary is in 6th grade and Natalia is in 5th grade. Some of her additional interests are real estate, politics, camping, shooting, music and travel.
